Dr.Ilya CHEMERIS

Born in Alma-Ata (Kazakhstan). Graduated from high school with The Gold Medal (excellent marks only), then Almaty State Medical Institute with The Red Diploma (exc. marks only), thus becoming a third generation of physicians in the family.

In 1995 I became interested in musculo-skeletal disorders and pursued this interest by:

1995 -  seminar on basics of Osteopathy

1995-1996 - two years course in Neurology

1997-98 - practical instructor at the manual therapy course (Dep. Of Traditional Medicine, Almaty, Kazakhstan)

I felt it was not enough and undertook further study abroad -

1998-99 - course and qualified in Osteopathy at London College of Osteopathic Medicine (LCOM), UK, passed the exam for Diploma in Musculo-Skeletal Medicine, Society of Apothecaries, London.

Since June 1999 work as an Osteopath at The Tauranga Osteopathic Clinic (director A.Wilson), New Zealand.

As well as osteopathy, I use acupuncture and various other techniques that I have experienced in the treatment of musculo-skeletal disorders.
